In Loving Memory of My Son, Mark Antonio White II

 

ELEV8ED CREATIONS is built on love, legacy, healing, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her son.

My son, Mark Antonio White II, was a gifted professional artist, writer, and creative visionary. He brought his imagination to life through drawing, writing, design, and animation, including animating a children’s book. Art was not simply something Mark practiced—it was part of who he was.

At only 21, Mark’s life was tragically taken by gun violence in Atlanta. Losing my only child created pain beyond words. But his love, talent, dreams, and creative spirit could never be taken from me.

 

Mark and I shared a love of art, but we spoke different artistic languages. He drew with pencils and pens. I draw with objects. Long before ELEV8ED CREATIONS, my artistry lived through makeup artistry, body painting, stones, and crystals—using beauty, color, texture, movement, and dimensional design to transform individual materials and ideas into something meaningful and new.

Today, my artistic language also includes resin, rhinestones, fabric, yarn, embellishments, paint, found objects, and light. I create one-of-one collector bottles, mixed-media artwork, resin creations, wearable art, crochet pieces, personalized keepsakes, and other handcrafted works.

I also compose fragrance as art, layering notes, emotions, memories, moods, personality, and presence to express what color and imagery alone cannot.

The name ELEV8ED CREATIONS carries Mark’s spirit. Elevate was the company name he chose for his artistic vision. In his honor, I transformed it into ELEV8 Art Studio, which later evolved into ELEV8ED CREATIONS, connecting his creative legacy with my lifelong artistic journey.

 

ELEV8ED CREATIONS did not begin my life as an artist. It gave my artistry a deeper purpose.

After losing Mark, art became a place for the grief, love, memories, and emotions that words could not hold. I believe in art’s extraordinary power to help us heal. It does not erase grief or make loss disappear, but it gives pain somewhere to go—into color, fragrance, texture, movement, and beauty.

Creating helps me transform some of my pain into purpose and some of my grief into something beautiful, meaningful, and lasting. When I create, I am not leaving Mark behind. I am carrying him forward.

Every piece, whatever the medium, holds a part of us both. Every fragrance I compose, crystal I place, and collector bottle I embellish is made with intention and love. My hands form the work, but his spirit, my heart, our shared artistry, and the healing I find through creating are woven into it.

 

Mark was my only child, and I will never have grandchildren to carry our story into another generation. That is another future I have had to grieve. Through ELEV8ED CREATIONS, I have found a way to leave something beautiful and lasting behind.

When someone receives one of my creations, they receive more than a handcrafted object. They receive a piece of our story—created from love, transformed through art, and intended to leave beauty in the world. Long after I am gone, something made by my hands will remain for someone to hold, experience, and carry a small piece of Mark and me.

ELEV8ED CREATIONS is more than a business. It is a living tribute to my son, an extension of his creative spirit, and the continuation of our shared artistic legacy.

 

It is my love for Mark made visible, pain transformed into beauty, and healing expressed through my hands. It is how I honor him, carry him with me, and continue to love him—out loud, in color, in fragrance, in texture, and in every creation.

His life mattered. His talent mattered. His dreams mattered.

Through ELEV8ED CREATIONS, his name, his vision, and his legacy will continue to rise.
